FX-4100 vs Celeron G3930 benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the FX-4100 performs better than the Celeron G3930. Despite this, the Celeron G3930 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the FX-4100 has more threads. Our comparison shows that the FX-4100 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Celeron G3930. In terms of cache, the FX-4100 has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Celeron G3930. The FX-4100 also has significantly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the FX-4100 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
