FirePro W7100 vs Radeon HD 7990 benchmarks
For gaming, the Radeon HD 7990 graphics card is better than the FirePro W7100 in our tests.
In our comparison, the Radeon HD 7990 has a slightly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture.
As stated by the manufacturer, the FirePro W7100 has significantly more memory with 8 GiB of memory compared to 3 GiB. Lots of memory is good when playing at high resolutions or with many monitors.
In addition, the FirePro W7100 has a significantly lower TDP at 150 W when compared to the Radeon HD 7990 at 375 W. This is not a measure of performance, but rather the amount of heat generated by the chip when running at its highest speed.
In conclusion, all specs and GPU benchmarks considered, will recommend the Radeon HD 7990 over the FirePro W7100.
