EPYC 7543P vs Core i5-13600K comparison
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-13600K is faster than the EPYC 7543P. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the EPYC 7543P in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the EPYC 7543P has significantly more cores with 32 cores whereas the Core i5-13600K has 8 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i5-13600K. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-13600K has a slightly higher clock speed than the EPYC 7543P. Also, the Core i5-13600K has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i5-13600K outputs less heat than EPYC 7543P thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the EPYC 7543P has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i5-13600K. The EPYC 7543P also has significantly more L3 cache.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the EPYC 7543P has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
