CoreT i5-1340P vs Core i3-1220P benchmarks

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the CoreT i5-1340P performs better than the Core i3-1220P. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i3-1220P in all gaming tests too.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the CoreT i5-1340P has slightly more cores with 12 cores compared to the Core i3-1220P that has 10 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i3-1220P. With our hardware info, we find that the CoreT i5-1340P has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i3-1220P. In terms of cache, the CoreT i5-1340P has slightly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i3-1220P. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the CoreT i5-1340P has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
