Core Ultra 7 256V vs Core i3-14100F comparison

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core Ultra 7 256V is faster than the Core i3-14100F. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i3-14100F in all gaming tests too.

With info from our database, we find that the Core Ultra 7 256V has significantly more cores with 8 cores whereas the Core i3-14100F has 4 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. Our comparison shows that the Core i3-14100F has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core Ultra 7 256V. Despite this, the Core Ultra 7 256V has a slightly higher turbo speed. The info from our database shows that the Core Ultra 7 256V has more L2 cache than the Core i3-14100F. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Core Ultra 7 256V has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
