Core Ultra 5 125H vs Ryzen Z1 specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core Ultra 5 125H is faster than the Ryzen Z1. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen Z1 in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core Ultra 5 125H has significantly more cores with 14 cores whereas the Ryzen Z1 has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen Z1. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Core Ultra 5 125H has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen Z1. Despite this, the Ryzen Z1 has a slightly higher turbo speed. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Core Ultra 5 125H has significantly more L2 cache than the Ryzen Z1. The Core Ultra 5 125H also has slightly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core Ultra 5 125H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
