Core i9-13900KF vs Ryzen 9 7950X benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 9 7950X is faster than the Core i9-13900KF. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i9-13900KF in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i9-13900KF has significantly more cores with 24 cores compared to the Ryzen 9 7950X that has 16 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 9 7950X has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i9-13900KF. Despite this, the Core i9-13900KF has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i9-13900KF CPU outputs less heat than a Ryzen 9 7950X CPU because of its slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the Core i9-13900KF has more L2 cache than the Ryzen 9 7950X. Despite this, the Ryzen 9 7950X has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Core i9-13900KF.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i9-13900KF has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
