Core i9-13900KF vs Core i7-14700K specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i9-13900KF is faster than the Core i7-14700K. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i7-14700K in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i9-13900KF has slightly more cores with 24 cores whereas the Core i7-14700K has 20 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i7-14700K. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Core i7-14700K has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i9-13900KF. Despite this, the Core i9-13900KF has a slightly higher turbo speed. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Core i9-13900KF has slightly more L2 cache than the Core i7-14700K. The Core i9-13900KF also has slightly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i9-13900KF has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
