Core i9-13900K vs Ryzen 9 7950X comparison
In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 9 7950X beats the Core i9-13900K in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i9-13900K in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i9-13900K has significantly more cores with 24 cores whereas the Ryzen 9 7950X has 16 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 9 7950X has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i9-13900K. Furthermore, both these CPUs have identical turbo speeds. A Core i9-13900K CPU outputs less heat than a Ryzen 9 7950X CPU because of its slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Core i9-13900K has significantly more L2 cache than the Ryzen 9 7950X. Despite this, the Ryzen 9 7950X has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Core i9-13900K.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Core i9-13900K has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
