Core i9-13900K vs Ryzen 9 7900X benchmarks

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i9-13900K is faster than the Ryzen 9 7900X. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 9 7900X in all gaming tests too.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i9-13900K has significantly more cores with 24 cores compared to the Ryzen 9 7900X that has 12 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 9 7900X. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 9 7900X has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i9-13900K. Despite this, the Core i9-13900K has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i9-13900K CPU outputs less heat than a Ryzen 9 7900X CPU because of its slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the Core i9-13900K has more L2 cache than the Ryzen 9 7900X. Despite this, the Ryzen 9 7900X has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Core i9-13900K.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i9-13900K has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
