Core i9-13900K vs Ryzen 7 9700X benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i9-13900K performs better than the Ryzen 7 9700X. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 9700X in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i9-13900K has significantly more cores with 24 cores whereas the Ryzen 7 9700X has 8 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 7 9700X. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 7 9700X has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i9-13900K. Despite this, the Core i9-13900K has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Ryzen 7 9700X outputs less heat than Core i9-13900K thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Core i9-13900K has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Ryzen 7 9700X. The Core i9-13900K also has slightly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i9-13900K has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
