Core i9-11950H vs Xeon W-2145 specs and performance

In our benchmarks, the Xeon W-2145 beats the Core i9-11950H in overall performance. Despite this, the Core i9-11950H has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Xeon W-2145 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i9-11950H. Despite this, the Core i9-11950H has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i9-11950H CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon W-2145 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i9-11950H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
