Core i9-11950H vs Xeon W-11855M benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Core i9-11950H beats the Xeon W-11855M in overall performance. Despite this, the Xeon W-11855M has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i9-11950H has slightly more cores with 8 cores whereas the Xeon W-11855M has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Xeon W-11855M. Our comparison shows that the Xeon W-11855M has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i9-11950H. Despite this, the Core i9-11950H has a slightly higher turbo speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i9-11950H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
