Intel Core i9-11950H vs AMD Ryzen 7 8745HS

Core i9-11950H vs Ryzen 7 8745HS comparison

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 7 8745HS is faster than the Core i9-11950H. Despite this, the Core i9-11950H has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores and the same number of threads. Our comparison shows that the Ryzen 7 8745HS has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i9-11950H.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i9-11950H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
