Core i9-11900KF vs Ryzen 7 260 specs and performance
In our benchmarks, the Core i9-11900KF beats the Ryzen 7 260 in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 260 in all gaming tests too.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores and the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 260 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i9-11900KF. Despite this, the Core i9-11900KF has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Ryzen 7 260 outputs less heat than Core i9-11900KF thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 7 260 has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i9-11900KF. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i9-11900KF has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
