Core i9-10900K vs Core i7-12700T specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i9-10900K is faster than the Core i7-12700T. Despite this, the Core i7-12700T has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i7-12700T has slightly more cores than the Core i9-10900K. Indeed, the Core i7-12700T has 12 cores compared to 10 cores found in the Core i9-10900K. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i9-10900K has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i7-12700T. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Core i7-12700T has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i9-10900K. The Core i7-12700T also has slightly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i9-10900K has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
