Core i9-10900K vs Core i5-13500 benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i5-13500 performs better than the Core i9-10900K. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i9-10900K in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i5-13500 has slightly more cores with 14 cores whereas the Core i9-10900K has 10 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i9-10900K has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i5-13500. Also, the Core i9-10900K has a slightly higher turbo speed. In terms of cache, the Core i5-13500 has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i9-10900K. The Core i5-13500 also has slightly more L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Core i9-10900K has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
