Core i9-10900K vs Core i5-13450HX comparison
In our benchmarks, the Core i9-10900K beats the Core i5-13450HX in overall performance. Despite this, the Core i5-13450HX has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count but the Core i9-10900K has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i9-10900K has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i5-13450HX. Also, the Core i9-10900K has a slightly higher turbo speed. In terms of cache, the Core i5-13450HX has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i9-10900K. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i9-10900K has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
