Core i9-10900 vs Core i7-14700T specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i7-14700T is faster than the Core i9-10900. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i9-10900 in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i7-14700T has significantly more cores with 20 cores whereas the Core i9-10900 has 10 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i9-10900. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i9-10900 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i7-14700T. In addition, both chips have the same turbo speed. The info from our database shows that the Core i7-14700T has more L2 cache than the Core i9-10900. The Core i7-14700T also has significantly more L3 cache.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Core i9-10900 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
