Core i9-10850K vs Ryzen 5 7600X benchmarks

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 5 7600X performs better than the Core i9-10850K. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i9-10850K in all gaming tests too.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i9-10850K has significantly more cores with 10 cores compared to the Ryzen 5 7600X that has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 5 7600X. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 7600X has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i9-10850K. Also, the Ryzen 5 7600X has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Ryzen 5 7600X outputs less heat than Core i9-10850K thanks to a slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 7600X has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i9-10850K. The Ryzen 5 7600X also has significantly more L3 cache.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i9-10850K has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
