Core i9-10850K vs Core i9-13900K benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i9-13900K performs better than the Core i9-10850K. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i9-10850K in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i9-13900K has significantly more cores than the Core i9-10850K. Indeed, the Core i9-13900K has 24 cores compared to 10 cores found in the Core i9-10850K. It also has more threads than the Core i9-10850K. Our comparison shows that the Core i9-10850K has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i9-13900K. Despite this, the Core i9-13900K has a slightly higher turbo speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Core i9-13900K has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i9-10850K. The Core i9-13900K also has significantly more L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Core i9-10850K has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
