Core i7-9700KF vs Ryzen 7 6800HS benchmarks

In our benchmarks, the Core i7-9700KF beats the Ryzen 7 6800HS in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 6800HS in all gaming tests too.

Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores but the Ryzen 7 6800HS has more threads. Our comparison shows that the Core i7-9700KF has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 7 6800HS. Also, the Core i7-9700KF has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Ryzen 7 6800HS outputs less heat than Core i7-9700KF thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 6800HS has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i7-9700KF. The Ryzen 7 6800HS also has slightly more L3 cache.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Core i7-9700KF has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
