Core i7-9700KF vs Ryzen 5 5600 comparison

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 5 5600 performs better than the Core i7-9700KF. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i7-9700KF in all gaming tests too.

With info from our database, we find that the Core i7-9700KF has slightly more cores with 8 cores whereas the Ryzen 5 5600 has 6 cores. Despite this, the Ryzen 5 5600 has more threads than the Core i7-9700KF. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i7-9700KF has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 5 5600. Also, the Core i7-9700KF has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Ryzen 5 5600 outputs less heat than Core i7-9700KF thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 5 5600 has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i7-9700KF. The Ryzen 5 5600 also has significantly more L3 cache.

Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i7-9700KF has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
