Core i7-9700K vs Xeon Silver 4210R benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Xeon Silver 4210R is faster than the Core i7-9700K. Despite this, the Core i7-9700K has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Xeon Silver 4210R has slightly more cores with 10 cores compared to the Core i7-9700K that has 8 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i7-9700K. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Core i7-9700K has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Xeon Silver 4210R. Also, the Core i7-9700K has a significantly higher turbo speed. A Core i7-9700K CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon Silver 4210R CPU because of its slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i7-9700K has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
