Core i7-9700K vs Core i7-4770K benchmarks

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i7-9700K is faster than the Core i7-4770K. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i7-4770K in all gaming tests too.

With info from our database, we find that the Core i7-9700K has significantly more cores with 8 cores whereas the Core i7-4770K has 4 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i7-9700K has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i7-4770K. Also, the Core i7-9700K has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i7-4770K outputs less heat than Core i7-9700K thanks to a slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the Core i7-9700K has more L2 cache than the Core i7-4770K. The Core i7-9700K also has significantly more L3 cache.

Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i7-9700K has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
