Core i7-9700K vs Core i7-13620H specs and performance

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i7-13620H is faster than the Core i7-9700K. Despite this, the Core i7-9700K has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

With info from our database, we find that the Core i7-13620H has slightly more cores with 10 cores whereas the Core i7-9700K has 8 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i7-9700K. Our comparison shows that the Core i7-9700K has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i7-13620H. In addition, both chips have the same turbo speed. In terms of cache, the Core i7-13620H has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i7-9700K. The Core i7-13620H also has significantly more L3 cache.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Core i7-9700K has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
