Core i7-9700F vs Xeon E5-1650 v4 benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i7-9700F performs better than the Xeon E5-1650 v4. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon E5-1650 v4 in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i7-9700F has slightly more cores with 8 cores compared to the Xeon E5-1650 v4 that has 6 cores. Despite this, the Xeon E5-1650 v4 has more threads than the Core i7-9700F. With our hardware info, we find that the Xeon E5-1650 v4 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i7-9700F. Despite this, the Core i7-9700F has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i7-9700F CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon E5-1650 v4 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Core i7-9700F has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
