Core i7-9700F vs Xeon E-2176M comparison

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i7-9700F performs better than the Xeon E-2176M. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon E-2176M in all gaming tests too.

With info from our database, we find that the Core i7-9700F has slightly more cores with 8 cores whereas the Xeon E-2176M has 6 cores. Despite this, the Xeon E-2176M has more threads than the Core i7-9700F. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i7-9700F has a slightly higher clock speed than the Xeon E-2176M. Also, the Core i7-9700F has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Xeon E-2176M outputs less heat than Core i7-9700F thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i7-9700F has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
