Core i7-9700F vs Ryzen 5 7530U benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i7-9700F is faster than the Ryzen 5 7530U. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 5 7530U in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i7-9700F has slightly more cores with 8 cores whereas the Ryzen 5 7530U has 6 cores. Despite this, the Ryzen 5 7530U has more threads than the Core i7-9700F. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Core i7-9700F has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 5 7530U. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 5 7530U has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i7-9700F. The Ryzen 5 7530U also has slightly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Core i7-9700F has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
