Core i7-9700F vs Core i7-1365U specs and performance

In our benchmarks, the Core i7-1365U beats the Core i7-9700F in overall performance. Despite this, the Core i7-9700F has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i7-1365U has slightly more cores than the Core i7-9700F. Indeed, the Core i7-1365U has 10 cores compared to 8 cores found in the Core i7-9700F. It also has more threads than the Core i7-9700F. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i7-9700F has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i7-1365U. Despite this, the Core i7-1365U has a slightly higher turbo speed. In terms of cache, the Core i7-1365U has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i7-9700F. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Core i7-9700F has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
