Core i7-9700F vs Core i7-1260P comparison
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i7-1260P performs better than the Core i7-9700F. Despite this, the Core i7-9700F has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i7-1260P has significantly more cores with 12 cores compared to the Core i7-9700F that has 8 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i7-9700F. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i7-9700F has a much higher clock speed than the Core i7-1260P. In addition, both chips have the same turbo speed. The Core i7-1260P outputs less heat than Core i7-9700F thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the Core i7-1260P has more L2 cache than the Core i7-9700F. The Core i7-1260P also has significantly more L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i7-9700F has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
