Core i7-9700F vs Core i5-1145G7 comparison

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i7-9700F performs better than the Core i5-1145G7. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-1145G7 in all gaming tests too.

With info from our database, we find that the Core i7-9700F has significantly more cores with 8 cores whereas the Core i5-1145G7 has 4 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Core i7-9700F has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i5-1145G7. Also, the Core i7-9700F has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i5-1145G7 outputs less heat than Core i7-9700F thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i7-9700F has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
