Core i7-9700 vs Xeon W-2135 specs and performance

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i7-9700 is faster than the Xeon W-2135. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon W-2135 in all gaming tests too.

In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i7-9700 has slightly more cores than the Xeon W-2135. Indeed, the Core i7-9700 has 8 cores compared to 6 cores found in the Xeon W-2135. Despite this, the Xeon W-2135 has more threads than the Core i7-9700. Our comparison shows that the Xeon W-2135 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i7-9700. Despite this, the Core i7-9700 has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i7-9700 CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon W-2135 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Core i7-9700 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
