Core i7-9700 vs Xeon E5-2667 v4 comparison

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i7-9700 is faster than the Xeon E5-2667 v4. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon E5-2667 v4 in all gaming tests too.

When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Xeon E5-2667 v4 has more threads. Our comparison shows that the Xeon E5-2667 v4 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i7-9700. Despite this, the Core i7-9700 has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i7-9700 CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon E5-2667 v4 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Core i7-9700 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
