Core i7-9700 vs Ryzen 7 PRO 4750U benchmarks

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i7-9700 performs better than the Ryzen 7 PRO 4750U. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 PRO 4750U in all gaming tests too.

When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Ryzen 7 PRO 4750U has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i7-9700 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 7 PRO 4750U. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 PRO 4750U has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i7-9700. Despite this, the Core i7-9700 has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 7 PRO 4750U.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Core i7-9700 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
