Core i7-9700 vs Ryzen 7 7735U comparison
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i7-9700 is faster than the Ryzen 7 7735U. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 7735U in all gaming tests too.
Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores but the Ryzen 7 7735U has more threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Core i7-9700 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 7 7735U. Despite this, the Ryzen 7 7735U has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Ryzen 7 7735U outputs less heat than Core i7-9700 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 7735U has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i7-9700. The Ryzen 7 7735U also has slightly more L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i7-9700 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
