Core i7-9700 vs Ryzen 7 7730U comparison
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 7 7730U performs better than the Core i7-9700. Despite this, the Core i7-9700 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Ryzen 7 7730U has more threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Core i7-9700 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 7 7730U. Also, the Core i7-9700 has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Ryzen 7 7730U outputs less heat than Core i7-9700 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 7730U has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i7-9700. The Ryzen 7 7730U also has slightly more L3 cache.
