With info from our database, we find that the Core i7-9700 has slightly more cores with 8 cores whereas the Ryzen 5 PRO 4650GE has 6 cores. Despite this, the Ryzen 5 PRO 4650GE has more threads than the Core i7-9700. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 PRO 4650GE has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i7-9700. Despite this, the Core i7-9700 has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Ryzen 5 PRO 4650GE outputs less heat than Core i7-9700 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 5 PRO 4650GE has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i7-9700. Despite this, the Core i7-9700 has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 5 PRO 4650GE.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Core i7-9700 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
