Core i7-9700 vs CoreT i5-13500H specs and performance
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the CoreT i5-13500H performs better than the Core i7-9700. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i7-9700 in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the CoreT i5-13500H has significantly more cores than the Core i7-9700. Indeed, the CoreT i5-13500H has 12 cores compared to 8 cores found in the Core i7-9700. It also has more threads than the Core i7-9700. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i7-9700 has a slightly higher clock speed than the CoreT i5-13500H. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the CoreT i5-13500H has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i7-9700. The CoreT i5-13500H also has significantly more L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i7-9700 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
