Core i7-9700 vs Core i9-9900K benchmarks

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i9-9900K is faster than the Core i7-9700. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i7-9700 in all gaming tests too.

Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count but the Core i9-9900K has more threads. Our comparison shows that the Core i9-9900K has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i7-9700. Also, the Core i9-9900K has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i7-9700 CPU outputs less heat than a Core i9-9900K CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, both these CPUs have the same amount of L2 cache. The Core i9-9900K also has slightly more L3 cache.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Core i7-9700 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
