Core i7-9700 vs Core i9-10900K benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i9-10900K performs better than the Core i7-9700. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i7-9700 in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i9-10900K has slightly more cores with 10 cores whereas the Core i7-9700 has 8 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i7-9700. Our comparison shows that the Core i9-10900K has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i7-9700. Also, the Core i9-10900K has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i7-9700 CPU outputs less heat than a Core i9-10900K CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the Core i9-10900K has more L2 cache than the Core i7-9700. The Core i9-10900K also has significantly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Core i7-9700 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
