Core i7-9700 vs Core i7-1365U benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i7-9700 performs better than the Core i7-1365U. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i7-1365U in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i7-1365U has slightly more cores than the Core i7-9700. Indeed, the Core i7-1365U has 10 cores compared to 8 cores found in the Core i7-9700. It also has more threads than the Core i7-9700. Our comparison shows that the Core i7-9700 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i7-1365U. Despite this, the Core i7-1365U has a slightly higher turbo speed. In terms of cache, the Core i7-1365U has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i7-9700. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Core i7-9700 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
