Core i7-9700 vs Core i7-11600H comparison

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i7-9700 is faster than the Core i7-11600H. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i7-11600H in all gaming tests too.

With info from our database, we find that the Core i7-9700 has slightly more cores with 8 cores whereas the Core i7-11600H has 6 cores. Despite this, the Core i7-11600H has more threads than the Core i7-9700. Our comparison shows that the Core i7-9700 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i7-11600H. Also, the Core i7-9700 has a slightly higher turbo speed. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Core i7-11600H has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i7-9700. The Core i7-11600H also has significantly more L3 cache.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Core i7-9700 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
