Core i7-8750H vs Core i5-8500T benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i7-8750H performs better than the Core i5-8500T. Despite this, the Core i5-8500T has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Core i7-8750H has more threads. Our comparison shows that the Core i7-8750H has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i5-8500T. Also, the Core i7-8750H has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i5-8500T outputs less heat than Core i7-8750H thanks to a slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, both these CPUs have the same amount of L2 cache and L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Core i7-8750H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
