Core i7-8750H vs Core i3-9100F benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i7-8750H performs better than the Core i3-9100F. Despite this, the Core i3-9100F has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i7-8750H has significantly more cores with 6 cores whereas the Core i3-9100F has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i3-9100F. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i3-9100F has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i7-8750H. Also, the Core i3-9100F has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i7-8750H CPU outputs less heat than a Core i3-9100F CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Core i7-8750H has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i3-9100F. The Core i7-8750H also has significantly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i7-8750H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
