Core i7-7820HQ vs Pentium G4560 benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Core i7-7820HQ beats the Pentium G4560 in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Pentium G4560 in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i7-7820HQ has significantly more cores than the Pentium G4560. Indeed, the Core i7-7820HQ has 4 cores compared to 2 cores found in the Pentium G4560. It also has more threads than the Pentium G4560. With our hardware info, we find that the Pentium G4560 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i7-7820HQ. A Core i7-7820HQ CPU outputs less heat than a Pentium G4560 CPU because of its slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Core i7-7820HQ has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
