Core i7-7700 vs Core i3-13100 specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i3-13100 is faster than the Core i7-7700. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i7-7700 in all gaming tests too.
Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i7-7700 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i3-13100. Despite this, the Core i3-13100 has a slightly higher turbo speed. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Core i3-13100 has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i7-7700. The Core i3-13100 also has significantly more L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Core i7-7700 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
