Core i7-6700T vs Xeon E3-1535M v6 benchmarks

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Xeon E3-1535M v6 performs better than the Core i7-6700T. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i7-6700T in all gaming tests too.

When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Xeon E3-1535M v6 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i7-6700T. Also, the Xeon E3-1535M v6 has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i7-6700T CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon E3-1535M v6 CPU because of its slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. When comparing cache sizes, these CPUs have an identical amount of L2 cache and L3 cache.

Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Core i7-6700T has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
