Core i7-6700K vs A10-6700 comparison

In our benchmarks, the Core i7-6700K beats the A10-6700 in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the A10-6700 in all gaming tests too.

Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores but the Core i7-6700K has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i7-6700K has a slightly higher clock speed than the A10-6700. Despite this, the A10-6700 has a slightly higher turbo speed. The A10-6700 outputs less heat than Core i7-6700K thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the A10-6700 has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i7-6700K

Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Core i7-6700K has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
