Core i7-4770K vs Core i5-13600KF specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-13600KF is faster than the Core i7-4770K. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i7-4770K in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i5-13600KF has significantly more cores with 14 cores compared to the Core i7-4770K that has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i7-4770K. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i7-4770K has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i5-13600KF. Despite this, the Core i5-13600KF has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i7-4770K CPU outputs less heat than a Core i5-13600KF CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the Core i5-13600KF has more L2 cache than the Core i7-4770K. The Core i5-13600KF also has significantly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i7-4770K has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
